Description
“Carousel Study” – Artiom Galuza
This étude has a joyful and energetic character, evoking the continuous motion of a carousel. The piece serves as a valuable exercise for developing right-hand coordination.
Single-note passages are performed alternately with the fingers m–i–p, while the chords are based on the stable combination p–m–i.
An important element of interpretation is the use of staccato, which gives the music a slightly bouncing, elastic character. It requires precise control of note duration.
During the learning process, especially when memorizing the piece, it is important to clearly distinguish both fingering patterns and the type of articulation, as this greatly facilitates memorization of the musical material.
