Description
“Boogie-Woogie” is a piece from the collection Guitar for Young Masters.
As with the piece Blues in the Prairie, after hearing my students perform it, I decided to revise the work.
First of all, the triplet feel was replaced with simple syncopations so that the rhythm would be easier to understand.
Some passages were also changed, since at a slower tempo they created a feeling of “emptiness.”
The ending has been reworked to give it a more blues-like character.
Articulation has also been added.
You can listen to the piece performed by my student — in the new edition on YouTube — as well as in my own performance of the first edition here.
